Laundromat Library Project
The Literacy Council has been placing books for children in local Laundromats for more than 7 years. Children who come to the Laundromats with their parents often do not have books to read at home. The children can read books while they are in the Laundromat, take a book home to enjoy, or pass the book onto another child.
Currently, we are servicing 6 laundromats.
Past-President and member, Ann Tinner, has been providing the books from donations from the Osterhout Library, the Wyoming Library, and the Laflin Library.
We are so grateful for the generosity of these libraries!
We also receive donation of books from our council members and people in the community.
